Quest for Glory

Quest for Glory! An epic adventure of heroic proportions... or something along those lines!

Follow the adventures of the Devon Aidendale <or insert your Hero's name instead> as he travels the world of Gloriana in hopes of becoming a Hero! And not just become a Hero, but to also stay a Hero, because Adventuring is a job that is never quite done.

Tag along as he quests to such amazing places as:


Spielburg, in his first quest! Quest for Glory 1: So You Want to Be a Hero takes Devon on his first adventure to the Valley of Spielburg. As he arrives to the town, he hears news that he's trapped in due to an avalanche. Word soon gets to him of a decade old curse from the Ogress Baba Yaga.

Well, he seemed to be off on a good start here, he did come from the east (Though, in all fairness, the only way into the valley is from the east...) And thus, his epic adventure begins!


After Devon's quest in Spielburg, his new Katta friends, Shameen and Shema, as well as Abdulla Doo, invite him to come with them to their homeland of Shapeir! Quest for Glory 2: Trial by Fire follows Devon's adventure as a newly certified Hero. But this is no vacation! Soon after he arrives, strange Elementals begin to attack the city. Of course, as a Hero, he eagerly takes up the job.

He goes through his Trials by Fire, Trials of Water, Earth and Air. Shapeir needed a Hero, and Alas, he was There. He meets the Liontaur Paladin, Rasha Rakeesh sah Tarna for the first time. He learns of the Paladin's Code of Honor, learns of the magical W.I.T. (Wizards Institute of Technocery!) and makes due of them with what he can.

He treks by caravan to Shapeirs sister city of Raseir, and realizes his job has just begun. Ad Avis (Yes, his new friend. Must trust his friend) takes him to the Forbidden City, where he must find a way to escape and defeat the Tyranny that was his mind-controlling friend, Ad Avis, the true problem behind all the troubles since his arrival.


Having finished off the treacherous Ad Avis, and learning of the full Prophecy concerning him yet again (Seems alot of people back in the day knew he was going to be around!) Devon, the newly adopted Prince of Shapeir, travels by teleport with Rakeesh and the guildmaster, his friend Uhura, to the East Fricanan city of Tarna! Quest for Glory 3: Wages of War (Also known as Quest for Glory 3: Seekers of the Lost City) follows Devon 's trek through the wilderness as he seeks Peace between the tribes of the Simbani and Leopardmen!


After defeating his Doppelganger and the Demon Wizard, Devon is overcome by dark magic! Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of Darkness opens with Devon waking, finding himself trapped in a dark cave, all his belongings missing. With a bit of trouble, he manages to escape the confines of the cavern, only to come upon the most breathtaking woman he'd ever laid eyes upon.

Her name was Katrina, a girl working at the castle. Without much said, she walks off, leaving him alone, baffled. As he makes it to town, he learns that the road into Mordavia has been swamped over. (Becoming stuck in towns seems to be a trend for Devon) How did he get here exactly? And for what purpose at that...? He sets out to find answers, discovering a plot by the Dark Master his old foe Ad Avis once worshipped.

Once more, he must prove his worth as a Hero.


Victorious again, a ceremony is held for Devon in town when the voices of two of his old friends fill his mind. The old, wise(cracking) wizard, Erasmus, and his Familiar, Fenrus, had been searching for him. It seems that the country of Marete was in dire need of a Hero, and naturally, Erasmus (with a bit of trouble) contacted the best candidate he knew! Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire concludes Devon's tale as he travels to the city of Silmaria.

King Justinian has just been assassinated, and Rites were being held to determine the successor, as the late King had no children. It is here that Devon meets up with some old friends. Elsa von Spielburg, the daugther of the Baron he lifted the curse on way back in Spielburg, was also here, vying to be leader of Silmaria. Rakeesh is there as well, and his friends Salim, the eccentric apothecary from Tarna and his wife Julanar, the enchanted tree-woman he had saved in Shapeir. (He was the one that set them up on a date in the first place, after all)

His old acquaintances Ferrari and Ugarte, the 'business men' he had encountered in Raseir had also showed up, as well a few harem girls.

The Rites begin. Devon found himself vying for the Throne against Elsa, Magnum Opus from Nova Roma, Kokeeno Pookameeso the local guard, and Gort... a... uh... student of the... er... Science Island...
